Knife Skills Anyone?! Sur La Table Experience

After my time in Cartagena I made the decision to return to pursuing my Eat with Skylar private dining company full time and my desire to offer cooking classes to my clients became stronger than ever.
With that being said I decided to complete market research and sign up for any & all style of cooking classes & experiences in South Florida.
During my market research for cooking classes I booked a few experiences on Groupon with private instructors (that I haven't taken yet) along with a Knife Skills course at Sur La Table to see what a commercial, big name offering was like.
Sur La Table classes are typically led by experienced chefs and culinary experts. This means you're learning from professionals who have a deep knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and culinary traditions.
This was most definitely the case for the class I attended, led by Chef Loshini, an experienced Sous Chef originally from South Africa with a wealth of culinary knowledge. My favorite aspect of the Sur La Table class offerings has to be the small class sizes, you truly receive personalized attention from the instructor. This can be especially beneficial for beginners who may need extra guidance and was a great aspect for me to observe & consider for my class offerings.

Cooking classes at Sur La Table are interactive and engaging. Instructors encourage questions, discussions, and a collaborative learning environment, making it a fun and social experience. I now have a lifetime connection with Chef Loshini who asked to exchange contact information at the end of the class.
10/10 recommend and even for me as an experienced chef I am signing up for more classes such as their pastry courses as I was only trained in the culinary arts and not pastry/baking. Took so many best practices home with me for my Eat with Skylar Cooking classes that I cannot wait to share.
