Cooking in Cartagena

I've always thought that there is nothing better than getting to know a country through its food and beverage, and the Lunatico Cooking Studio tour proved this for me in Colombia! I was delighted to find out we would be hosted by the amazing private Chef Andres Araccoco. Chef Andres led myself and one other traveler through an extraordinary tour of the Bazurto Market, he was the ultimate guide, and our experience cooking in the Lunatico Cooking Studio was incomparable.

This was an experience we won't soon forget! The combination of learning about some unique Colombian dishes while enjoying breathtaking views from the edge of the walled city made this cooking experience truly remarkable.

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning panorama before us. The view from the edge of the walled city was nothing short of mesmerizing, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our culinary adventure. It was a visual feast in itself, and we couldn't have asked for a more idyllic setting.

The cooking class itself was an absolute delight. Not only did we get to indulge in delicious Colombian cuisine, but we also had the opportunity to master the basics. Each dish we prepared was not only mouthwatering but also educational. The chef expertly guided us through the process, sharing her knowledge and expertise, and ensuring that we gained valuable insights into the flavors and techniques unique to this region.

One of the highlights of the experience was learning new recipes and kitchen tricks. It's always exciting to acquire culinary skills that we can take back home with us, and this class certainly delivered. The chef's passion for cooking was contagious, and her ability to convey her love for Colombian cuisine made the learning process enjoyable and engaging.

The best part was the tour coordinator emailing me the entire recipe book of all that we made so I can recreate the magic at home for my loved ones <3
